Over Seas Reunion of Maharajas College Alumni (ORMA)

ORMA, established in 1995, a Maharajas College old students association in UAE associated and registered with AKCAF an apex integrated body of active independent alumni associations of Kerala colleges. AKCAF is registered with ICWC, which is running under the patronage of Indian Consulate, Dubai.

Events of the alumni family are very popular among the Indian community. The large membership of about 20,000 people, spread over business, Professional, service and other sectors, is the vital strength of the alumni community.

The wonderful and wide range of alumni community events include:

  1. Traditional festivals like Onam;
  2. Sports meets;
  3. Widely participated games,
  4. Educational events;
  5. Christmas and Iftar meet;
  6. Other social and literary events.

For the past several years AKCAF is organizing additional innovative events like:

  1. Carnival
    A social get-together giving an opportunity for the whole expatriate community, with family and children, to gather at a common place to participate in fun-filled events and cultural programs.
  2. Business Meet
    Which serves as a platform for establishing interaction between AKCAF and the business celebrities.

ORMA will continue to remain as a large platform for the interaction of old students of Maharajas College, overseas.

You have grown - Now not only the 10 acres of land in the heart of the city of Kochi on the banks of Vembanad Lake, blanketed by giant and rare species of trees with 19,525 sq.m of modern architectural classics talks about you - but we thousands of miles away talk, sing and dance with your lovable reminiscences…

Your beauty, your shade, your fragrance, is only a one-time experience in life, all these fade away like a dream and never repeats. But in the absence of you life would have lost a great significance…it is better to be loved and lost than never loved at all…!!!

i was there in 96 to 2004..never forget all that moments was happened there....

Years ago I came to Ernakulam from a far-off village only to be part of Maharajahs. Years after I see people from different walks of life here in faraway UAE come together just to relive their Maharajahs days. What makes this old, partly run-down, building cast such a spell on us? Definitely not the high and mighty who call Maharajahs their alma mater. But then, what else it could be?

Saleem and gang,

I was down with my third bout of food poisoning in two months. I was all prepared to turn up with the old white ORMA cap we distributed many years back in Dubai.

Please look me up when in Kerala. I live in Aluva.
