Maharajas College Old Students Association

Maharaja's College Old Students Association is established in the year 1925 and registered in the year 1971 as per the Travancore - Cochin literary and charitable societies registration Act XII of 1955.

The objectives of the Association shall be To act in accordance with the rules contained in the Travancore - Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, XII of 1955 To promote "esprit de corps" among the past students of the college and between them and the College.

To advance the interests of the past students of the college, Social, Cultural, Educational or otherwise To co-operate with the staff and students of the College in the celebration of the Annual College Day.

To secure endowments for the college To do everything possible to promote the welfare and the development of the College. To do such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objectives above specified.

The membership of the Association shall be only life Membership. A past student of the College shall be eligible for enrolment as a member of the Association on payment of the prescribed membership fee. The management of the affair of the Association shall vest in an executive committee.

It's greatr pleasure to think about Maharajas college. I studied there during1999-2002 term for B.com course. That days were very interesting. I want to be in touch with my all maharajas friends again.

I had the previlege of studying in Maharajas during 1975-1980. When I joined Pre-degree in 1975 at the age of 15, I was an ignorant and innocent village boy and after five years the College has sent me back as a refined and cultured man. It was a period of Emergency, a period of Centinary celebrations of the College etc. Dr. KK Mathew, who passed away recently, was the Principal. Then the other stalwarts - Dr. M Leelavathy, MK Sanu, M. Achuthan etc. of Malayalam Dept.,and Dr Sathyabhama, KK Vijayan, Simon Cerphine etc. of History Department, K. Aravindakshan etc. of Economics and many more were around and we were previleged. I remember students of Hindi subject used to attend the Malayalam classes of Sanu Master and the class was overcrowded.

As I was employed out of state, whenever I get an opportunity, I used to visit the College. I am eager to connect to my classmates. My email id is kvv124@yahoo.com.
